If so, how? And what is done to people from other nations who are in Mexico illegally?

Mexico certainly DOES guard it's southern border, I can testify to that firsthand. A few years ago my girlfriend and I were on a bus going from Cancun to Playa del Carmen. From there we were going to take the ferry to Cozumel.

Along the route, the bus was stopped at a checkpoint manned by soldiers and police, armed with machine guns, the soldiers and police boarded the bus and told everyone not to move. Then they checked everyone on board and then left.

I asked the bus driver what they were checking for...drugs?...an escaped criminal? NO...the bus driver said casually, they were looking to arrest illegal aliens that sneaked over the border into Mexico. i asked him what they did to illegal aliens...and the bus driver laughed and said in broken English....."they go to prison, amigo....what do you think we do to criminals"?

This is a true story. Mexico does NOT tolerate illegal aliens.

Obviously not. How do millions make there way to America from Central America?

Basically it comes down to Mexico wanting trade concessions and such...... becoming like Canada. But the corrupt government in Mexico and add in the fact that Mexicans are unable to stand up and be men to change anything...... something many cultures have done.

The Mexican government has a policy of let them through and eventually Mexico will get concessions. Mexico could have the best and partner with the US. But no.... think about this.... try to think of one central american or south american country that is on the world stage. Hispanic culture blames other people for thier woes as they should as the languagage they speak is European.

Again....... the MEN stand up and change things.

Yes mexico guards its southern border.

Illegal immigrants are treated harshly in mexico, by gangs, the Army and the Police.

YES they do. the mexican government is notoriously harsh with those trying to cross from honduras, guatemala, etc.. mostly guatemala. their border is very violent because of this...the mexican government vs. guatemalan gangs and such. people say mexico does a much better job at guarding the borders than we do. although this can't be too acurate beacause these guatemalan gangs are not planning on staying in mexico, they are simply passing through to the US. it would be very wise of us to concern ourselves with the mexican/south american border crossing...seeing as they are our FIRST line of defense between the US and some really scary south american gangs.

As concerned as Mexico is about that border,it would be good to see them secure their side.

Yes they have armed soldiers searching the major roads & trains crossing their southern border.

Those crossing illegally are lucky if they are just deported. Many are robbed, extorted or raped by the locals before the soldiers get to them..

Mexico guards it's northern border to make sure it's drugs get through unimpeded. The foreigners going through Mexico are secondary to the drug trafficking.

I don't know about anywhere else, but in Juarez, they do not, and if the cops happen to catch you, just spot them a 5 or 10 spot, so they can buy some burritos and our own your way.
