I have a dog, that I dearly love. I took care of it from the time it was a puppy, nursed it to health when it was sick, fed it when it was hungry and protected it from harm when danger lurked. I loved that dog so much. When it got a little older, it looked me in the eye and spit in my eye and I swear it said, "get lost you dumb ***, I want no part of you, I can live on my own from now on, so buzz off creep." I let it go with much heartbreak, it ran from me right into the oncoming traffic and died. Sound like a foolish dog?

That popularly taught belief is simply not true. It has it's roots in paganism based on the pagan belief of the immortal soul. It is not biblical and yet like so many lies, it has been repeated so many times that it has become perceived as true. The bible says that man is mortal and only the righteous will receive immortality. Study it for yourself, you will find out the truth.

your premise is in error.
people do not go to Hell for not following the rules.
the wages of sin is death....
not eternal damnation.
people go to hell voluntarily.
God sends no one to Hell.
people go to Hell for one reason and one reason only.
God offers each person His Gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
those who choose to accept God's Gift will spend an eternity with God in Heaven.
those who do not.....
will not.
it is that simple.
even you should be able to understand it.
and, by the way, God loves YOU unconditionally and YOU have the same choice to make.
John 3: The Words of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh)
3. "Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
4. Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
5. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

If you're equating God with yourself and humanity as your dog, then you're wrong. Unlike dogs, most humans can read and understand the Bible (or any rule book). Your dog, however (assuming it's like all the dogs I've met), is illiterate. It can understand commands you give it (provided it's been trained), but expecting your dog to follow your rule book is crazy.

Sounds like you do not need to have a pet. In fact, I think they call that animal cruelty.
