Yes... if you can piss off god, then you are in control.

Well that't the paradox...according to the bible, God is omnipotent, omnisciente and a whole lot of other omni's. Yet truth be told, if a being has emotion, they are easily controlled and manipulated.

So you struck on another problem with the concept of God...how can he be omni everything and still have emotion? Emotions create irrational behavior...is God irrational? God has anger and jealousyand we are able to make him angry and jealous by our behavior therefore...gulp...the unfathomable may be true here...we can manipulate him. Now what kind of God is that? You can't be emotionally manipulated and still be all powerful, all knowing and so forth. Both can not possibly be true.

Houston, We have a problem.

Exactly, that's what a lot of Christians believe since they think he's a jealous god but then they'll go and say we can't control him. Obviously we can if we can do things to make him upset or vengeful. I personally believe that God isn't like human beings who don't usually exercise self-control. I believe that god always chooses to remains unconditionally loving because that's what a god is for if you want crazy and vengeful and jealous than you should worship a person.

This is another good argument against the most common interpretation of 'God'.

If he is a completely independent being, he does not (by the very definition of independence) care about anyone.

If he is a dependent being, he changes depending on 'things' around him.

Neither options sound like a God to me.

Actually the only way to control God is by love and devotion. When we give ourselves to God wholeheartedly He'll reciprocate with us and in this way we reawaken our eternal relationship with Him. This process is the highest system of yoga and is called Bhakti-yoga.

God is unchanging.
He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

If your god has emotions that can be altered by man, then you need a bigger god.

Control is a strong word. Influence may be closer to the truth. However the reaction you provoke may not be to your liking.

If a mosquito bites you, it changes your emotions. Does it have control over you?

if you are insinuating that the created can gain control over The Creator, no.
that is pure foolish human thinking.
those who propose that have absolutely no concept of who or what God is.
God could destroy the created with just a thought.
you really have no clue, do you.
