I am from Roscommon and I have never heard of the place. The only mention of Ufford is John de Ufford who built the Norman castle in Roscommon town.

Hello, the only 2 Uffords I have heard of is one is in Cambridgeshire, and the other is in Suffulk, I am afraid my atlas doent cover the West Of Ireland where I believe there is another Ufford in County Roscomon, Hope you find it, I hate it when i fail to help someone on this web-site, Good luck in your search, Oh and by the way look closely around Roscomon town, so I heard.Bye Tony M

I think your question is a very clever way of getting people to look up Roscommon on the net. Is this a new ploy of Bord Failte?
