I was looking to spend no more than $150 for one 12" sub. if anyone can recommend anything or knows a lot about this it would help me out.

I would give it to the Kicker Solo X, The RE Audio XXX, The Orion HCCA, or the Pioneer SPL Champion... These are all great, very strong, and very loud speakers... Between 2000 and 3000 watts rms... And the Jackhammer is more for just saying you have it... It really has no purpose for real car audio applications. MTX has also put out a 24" Square subwoofer...

Kicker 12" super comps 150$ a speaker...nice and loud with a ZX class D amp, this is what I run and I can match most of the 2-4 sub "elite" systems people brag about at school....

I checked out the frequencies on this, and it keeps it low, 27-200 Hz. And the power is tight, at 360 watts RMS. Polk Audio has had a reputation of producing punching bass and a durable subwoofer surround. At $100, it's a deal.

Look at MB Quart I have 1 12 and it hits and sounds a lot better then the two tens I had. Go to www.onlinecarstereo.com and buy the MB Quart DWG 304 its $109 it bumps to trust me.

get two 12 inch kicker comp vr subs, those things pound.. you can get a brand new pair of them on ebay for about 160
