I heard that dark circles are also caused by a lack of Iron in your diet. Try taking Iron supplements, and of course, getting lots of sleep, drinking lots of water, and using a good eye cream that helps to increase circulation. I heard about this really good eye cream called Kinerase that really works.

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.
If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

I'm 18 and in the same situation. You can try cucumber or potato slices and Preparation H (sorry for the spelling). You can also try sleeping with two (or more) pillows under your head at night. More importantly than all of that, though: take a look at your relatives. If they have dark circles under their eyes, it might be something you just inherited. This is the case with me. Out of everything I've tried, only Prep H kind of works. I'm getting surgery in a few months for it. If your circles don't go away, you may want to schedule a consultation with a doctor.

You get dark circles under your eyes for a couple of reasons, the two big ones being fatigue and dehydrated skin. So you need to get more sleep, for starters. Secondly, you need to invest in a good eye cream. I personally use the Nivea Visage Aqua Sensations eye cream, which is really good for dark circles and shadows. As you're only young, you don't need anything that's anti-aging.
Another good one is the RoC Hydra+ eye cream. It's only available in pharmacies.
If your dark circles won't go away after using an eye cream for a few weeks (about a month), try using Skin Doctor's Eye Circle cream. It's a little more intense, and works.
Don't use a normal moisturiser on your eye area because the skin is very, very delicate.
Drink plenty of water, too. Don't use ordinary concealer and foundation to cover the circles because your dehydrated skin will just absorb it. Use an under-eye concealer - Revlon has a good one.

I'm almost 16 and I had the same problem. I wasn't getting enough sleep. After I started getting more sleep the dark circles started to go away. You probably should get more sleep.

It is definitly a result of something you are putting in your body or lack thereof. It is either a deficiency either from chemicals causing a depletion of something you need, or it is the fact that you are not getting enough of something, probably water.
