NO! Don't give out ANY personal information. It's a scam. I get tons of emails like that all the time. If you haven't actually entered a lottery, you can't win one. Never, never never give out any account or other personal information to anyone you don't know, especially on line. That's how scammers steal identities for theft of your money.
Take care, and if it sounds too good to be true......Trust me, it is to good to be true.

I received a letter with a check in the amount of 2935.00 and the letter read that I needed to deposit this check into my account or cash it when this was done call this number and talk to some one tell them I have gotten this letter and check and deposited it or cashed it which ever i did then they will notify the lotto office so that my remaining winnings would be sent to me the remaining amount would have been 83,600 dollars. But, I cashed that check for 2935 and guess what now I am going to be sued by the store that cashed it for me cause the check was returned to them. I dont feel that I am responsible for paying this money back I only received 900.00 of the money but still this lotto should be made to pay not me. So sorry about that they are playing us all. I dont know what I am going to do about this but good luck to you. I hope that you really did win although its pretty far fetched as far as I am concerned. Good luck.

We have been advised by the The Better Business Bureau that this is a scam. All the on line information that I have seen states that you should never give anyone you do not know or do business with on a regular basis your account information. If you do, you are giving the other party on open invitation to go into your account and remove any money available. You could even end up owing money.
Check with your bank before you do anything!

Look at the questions I have answered on this site in my info. There are so many winners there could not be enough money to pay them all. There is no International Lottery. This is a Nigeria scam. Yahoo/MSN, U.K. and Australian lotteries, football lotteries from the same counties, Global-Link, World Poverty, Microsoft, Free Lotto, which now seems to have it's own people answering gambling questions on this site claiming they have won which is a total lie, and hundreds more. I am a retired Police Officer that has years of experience investigating Internet scams and frauds. This is an old one. The common link to them getting your email is on line surveys. Yahoo does not give it's stock holders money away nor does it give it's email subscribers address's to lotteries. The only way to win in a lottery is to buy a ticket, if you didn't you could not possibly win. Here is the website of the 17 nation law enforcement task force that investigates cross border Internet crime. You may file a complaint there. www.econsumer.gov. Also go to www.ripoffreport.com and browse complaints and you will find many having the same doubts as yourself about these scams. Below is a typical scam and how they work it. They just go under a thousand different names. They are asking you to send a prepayment to collect your winnings and they want you to send it by a money wire service. Lotteries do not just pick your name out of thin air, and just so happen to have your email also. No Internet service provider gives their email list out to lotteries. If you did not pay to play you could not possibly win.
recieved letter of winning $65000.00 Pacific Player International lotteries, please contact claims agent miss linda strong at 204-951-7582. One other thing they often do is to use a 1 900 number that charges a huge fee when you call to verify any prize winnings. They get their money from the phone company you get a huge bill for a few hundred dollars on your phone bill.
Throw the letter away. I work in a post office and we see hundreds of them going through the system on a daily basis.

100% SCAM. You cannot win a lottery that YOU yourself did not enter, either by buying a lottery ticket or by filling in an entry form. Just delete that email, and any others like it that you are likely to get. DON'T click any links in it, and certainly DON'T reply to it.

Hi... You should avoid this. Throw the letter away now. The sites that say it's a scam are correct, and the sites that say it isn't a scam are actually in on the scam.
It's not a joke either - they have their ways to get YOUR money. Please stay away.
