If so, did you find what you wanted? Do you think it's an invasion of privacy if you don't tell em or a homeowner's right?

As a babysitter, I say go ahead and use it. we got nothing to hide. But don't put one in the bathroom!!! That is just insane. People deserve their privacy. If you want to put one on the door leading into the bathroom than go for it but not in it! And i have one question, What do you want to see? and Why would you hire someone that you can't fully trust?

Heck yes. They spy on you all the time, Try putting it in the kitchen though, anywhere else would be an invation of privacy. I wouldn't trust a sitter I haven't known for at least 5 year without a camera full of compfort. And if I was babysitting, I would mind if I was being taped as long as it was not in an all too private place. I've got nothing to hide, so I wouldn't mind. With the kids however, give them their space, they learn to deal with mistakes on their own. If you bust them all the time they will naver learn to give themselves up.

I think it is your right as a mom or the person employing someone to take care of your kids. You may find that someone is abusing your kids. Don't allow this to happen. Go for it. As far as the teen, I would only use it if you suspect a problem. Then it is not an invasion of privacy. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

It is your right to protect your home and children in this way. Nannies and sitters have been caught many times doing unthinkable things to their children. Set up the camera in the room discretely where you think the teen is most to babysit. Watch the video when you return. You may want to set it up in your bedroom or the bathroom, or a open room to catch more! Good luck

I would never use a camera, in Canada it's illegal to video tape someone without their previous knowledge. I would use audio surveilence no problem though, especially after I first hire a babysitter until i can trust her. On my teen, no i wouldn't... I don't think so anyway, but this is something I really don't know until I get there. My son is only 5.

You can put a hidden video camera on them, but what you don't want to do is put a hidden mic on them. Video is allowed, but you can not record audio without their consent. I know a place that has great hidden cameras. Click the link below. They have the best prices as well.

If you are suspicious and think that something is wrong then you should set up cameras. Lots of sitters have been caought doing stuff they shouldn't have when the parents were away so go ahead.

If it thought something was going on i would definately.

Your kids need to be protected so i say its completely fine.

My only warning is don't turn into a freak about it. If nothing is wrong and your children don't complain, then don't do it everytime. Maybe every now and then.

GOOD LUCK!!

Yes i would use a hidden security camera in my home to protect my children. These days you can't be too careful.

But I would not use it on my teenager, you have to respect your kids, and trust them, not spy on them.

absolutely!! if you feel as though you can't trust your teen or have bad vibes about your sitter, then go with your instincts and do what you gotta do to be on the safe side all the way around
