I have windows 2000 professional, normally when I use ctr+alt+del it shows me options and I click to go to task manager, but now it wont let me use my task manager. How can I fix this, I don't have a windows 2000 operating system cd either...

the button you click to go to it is blocked out, like you can't click it for all you "smart" people out there

it says "task manager has been disabled by your administrator." but I'm the administrator...

What do you mean, it won't let you? Surely it doesn't have a physical body to stop you! Does the computer actually push your hands away from the keyboard and mouse? I doubt it, somehow! Remember that buttons can't be "blocked out" as you strangely put it. Do you mean it is greyed out? Try to explain exactly what is happening, complete with any relevant error messages from the Windows event viewer.

are you the only one to use your pc ?if not then ask whos been playing silly beggars,unless you have spyware that has blocked your task manager so that you cannot see running processes etc.

you might try going to start then to control panel and look for shceduled tasks -- there you can set scheduled tasks -- hope this helps

Go to Start | Run and type is taskmgr in the run box and press ok. Does it run that way?
