It was a map pin aka push pin. Plastic kind. About 1 cm in length.

I think I am going to let time run its course. I'm sure it'll go right through her.

You need to take your dog to the vet right away and get x-rays! If your dog did really swallow a tack, it could puncture her stomach or intestines, which whill lead to "septic peritonitis," which is a very severe condition and results in death over 50% of the time.

Go to the vet NOW!

Keep a very close eye on her feces to make sure it has passed through her. This could stick her in the intestines and kill her. Feed her cotton mixed with raw hamburger....lots of cotton...the cotton will wrap around the sharp point and hopefully protect her...if not, surgery may be required, and she could get peritonitis from this....not a good scenario.

call your VET immediately, THEY will tell you whether to bring her in or not......if it was a marble, that is one thing, but a tack like the others said, could puncture her stomach, or intestines, and that could really harm her.....

take her to the vet. she could have it puncture any part of her digestive tract. this could cause internal bleeding and possibly death.

Take her to the vet.
It could have punctured their internal organs and she will probably die if you don't take her.
