The Catholic Church itself flip flopped on the whole issue only recently. For nearly 2000 years, termination was perfectly acceptable. Until the mid 1800's, the Doctrine of Passive Conception meant that the the fetus had no soul until the 'quickening' where God imbued it, usually at 5 months. Until then, it was not a person and could be terminated as an souless being. Which is totally in keeping with most mature cultures on the planet. It was Pope Puis IX who announced in 1869 that the soul was recieved at conception after all. Was the Church misinformed by God before, or now? In fact, it was just moving with the times. It had been several decades since secular courts in several Western countries declared it a crime. Gotta keep up, doncha know... http://home.att.net/~wiccanhistorian/histories/abortion.htm
Try reading up on this sort of thing, reactionaries...
You know, I don't see any of these protestors taking huge medical risks, like crippling or death, to help continue another life. It's great to talk big, but it's not you under the knife, risking death, maiming, as well total life service to another human being. So. Put your money where your mouth is. Every time you force a woman to carry to term, you get to undergo a risky, serious, permenantly altering surgery, to help another, sentient human being to live. Like, for the first one, you get to donate a kidney. The second, you donate a lung. Then you get to be the nursemaid of the recipiant for the next ten years while they recover. Oh, you recovering, too? Hmmm... I don't remember being asked about that, either...
Those of you who are not making the choice currently, or will not ever, have no say. Period. Just as I don't get to volunteer you for risky drug experiments or medical procedures against your will. If I get to implant a parasite in your body that will suck out all your minerals and life juices to the point of death without your say-so, then you get to tell me to have my baby.
I have terminated two pregancies and continued one. I have a beautiful daughter that I have raised with my loving husband. During her pregnancy, I didn't experience too many symptoms, except my feet are now bigger, and my hips are much wider than they used to be. My daughter used to kick me in the ribs to straighten out her foot, which was twisted at first. It straigtened out in the next few days. However, she could have easily broken my ribs, with the softening of the cartilage that goes on during pregancy to prepare for birth, like many other women have reported. My last partner's mother lost all her teeth as the calcuim was sucked out of her bones during her pregancy.
I love my daughter and accepted her as a gift and her birth as the most spiritual experience of my life. I would not been able to do so had I been forced to continue all my pregnancies. Hell, I may not even have survived...
A pregancy, even one, and even if terminated, alters the woman's body forever. If continued, her life and person are never the same. She risks every sort of change and ingury imaginable, as well as indignities, pain, and suffering. And let's not forget the very real possiblity of death. Those who choose to continue a pregnancy, even if they do the very selfless act of giving up the baby after thier body is changed for life, still must choose such an amazing life altering experience willingly and joyously. Anything less is the most profound form of enslavement.

I personally would never have an abortion BUT in certain cicrumstances i dont think it is killing at all ....
example: if a female has been raped then it's acceptable
If a female or couple use abortion as a contraceptive then its not acceptable but in rare circumstances when a mother has found out that her baby is deform and 100% down syndrome when does a mother cross the line??
Does the pregnant mother go ahead with the pregnancy and give her feotus a life that isnt like everyone elses?? a life where it will forever have to be looked after or never be able to have children itself?? In some cases i think that abortion is a personal issue with pregnant woman and her partner, evidentally her body and everything in it is her problem and her decision and nobody elses business.

Wow, if you honestly believe this, you really need to do some research and get your facts straight. Before most women even know they are pregnant (at 3 weeks after conception), their baby's heart is already beating. The average age of an aborted baby in this country is 10 weeks. By that time, the baby is well-developed:
At 6 weeks, she has recordable brain waves and tiny fingers
At 7 weeks, she begins moving in the womb. If her cheek is stroked, she will turn her head.
At 8 weeks, she is fully formed. All her organs are functioning. She can suck her thumb. If her palm is pricked, she will open her mouth and pull her hand away.
At 9 weeks, she will grasp an object placed in her palm.
You can read more about prenatal development here, as well and see photos and videos of babies in the first trimester:

Babies in the first trimester are capable of experiencing pain:

Abortion is violent and cruel. Here are photos and video of aborted babies, beginning at just 7 weeks:

There is no debate in the medical community about when life begins. From the point of conception, we are unique, living, growing, human beings:

Actually, there is a procedure that takes a fetus as late as 7 months gestation, partially delivers it, and takes a needle and injects a salt solution into the base of the skull. The brains (fully developed by the way) are then sucked out so the then DEAD fetus can be completely delivered.
Look it up online: partial birth abortion
There is an heated debate about when life truly begins.
But at 7 months gestation, if a baby were to be born due to preterm labor, it is survivable and a viable life.

Don't you think that crushing a skull and taking out the brain sounds a little like killing? What do you call it if its not killing, brain sucking? And how on earth do you think its possible to kill something that isn't alive? If its not a human, then what is it? If something has a heartbeat, isn't it alive? I thought a beating heart means you're alive, you see, my heart is beating right now and i'm certain i'm not not dead. What if youir mother had killed you? Answer these questions, and you'll have your answer.

You are obviously very wrong. Do you know that after conception, the baby's heart starts beating by day 18. Usually the "Mother" doesn't even know she's pregnant. By 2 months, I've had patients that have miscarried, and bring the "CLOT" to our office. A couple of years ago, I took out that clot, to find a perfectly shaped baby that fit into a teaspoon. So, when someone says it's a clot, they're full of BS. ~~~~~~~~~~~

Well most babies hearts starts to beat on thee 30th day of being pregnant. So anyone or thing with a heart beat would be a living being or thing to me. I think that's why people are so against it. But I have also herd that it says in the bible that u are not consider a living being until u take your first breath of air. But that was what I was told I'm not 100% sure.

Whether your 1 hour pregnant, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month....your pregnant, and with that said, there is a living thing growing inside of you. So if you get an abortion, its killing your unborn child.

Birth is a culmination of a passage of growth from a zygote. The unborn kid senses, feels, yawns, has a heartbeat. Abortion stops all these activities.
