I've only read one of his books and that was OK. Sorry if someone thinks he is wordy but he's a scientist and trying very hard to get an accurate idea across. Not devoid of a sense of humour but is really annoyed by creationists and their silly theology. Also he is or was married to Lalla Ward so that's a point in his favour too.

I don't care what anyone says, I think he did a fine job emceeing Family Feud.
As far as the other Richard Dawkins, I think he's pretty much kicking the stuffing out of theists.

As an atheist, and someone who wants to hear a good atheist position taken, Professor Dawkins over and over continues to disappoint me. He builds one straw man argument after another to build his case against religion, while never using his own beloved scientific method to examine these ‘arguments’. He clearly knows next to nothing about religion and his ignorance shows.

A tad wordy, but intelligent! His beliefs seem to align with mine, though I like to be a bit more succinct. His book "The God Delusion" hits the nail straight on the head. Then again, those brits tend to like to be wordy.

i like him. but sometimes what he says is way over my head for example half of the book "the god delusion" im only 16 though
