I would recommend just going to the tatto parlor.
they'll have all sorts there for you to decide from, and you can even ask the tatto artist to make one for you personally, and then it'll be EXACTLY what you want, and a one of a kind.
If you want something that many people have tho, tattojohnny.com is a good site.

I'm one of the people that's not a big tribal fan but if you really want.... You could probably go to the library and look up different tribal patterns and meanings and bring that to your artist too. That way, you can also try to make your tribal look more unique. Many artists can and like designing tattoos.
Loved reading the comments between Blair and Rider...
Rider: Yes...I figured that you two worked together to come up with answers on this thing. :) I've seen a couple of other questions with you two on there.
- sorry for changing this into a communication forum asker....

Before 6 million people tell you not to get a tribal, hell, go all the way to your wrist Make it a unique piece though. Good luck.
Edit: Hey Rider good job, holding back and all. A lot of people don't like tribal, they say it doesn't mean anything. I say tribal is just another style for tattooing. Anyhow, maybe, just maybe, it can be different. Maybe you can spruce up a plain old tribal piece by filling in the blank spots. You could use Japanese style wind bars, and waves. Black and gray, subliminal images can make just about anything look cool. Such as smoke with skulls and bats and stuff "hidden" in the tattoo. I think it would make a plain tat come alive.
Edit again. It's a damn shame we all don't live a little closer together.......I have 24 ice cold St. Pauli Girls that I would love to share.

you could try tattoojohnny.com the only problem is you can't just print the pic off the website... well you can but it has copyright features on it but with a tribal tattoo it wouldn't be hard to work around it and trace the design... I was just looking on there for a cancer zodiac sign that I am getting tattooed tomorrow...

I know exactly who to go to, I know I know you might live in the states or somewhere but In New Zealand they have primo as tatoos for the biceps and everything and because it's permanent it's worth it!, the guy that designs them his name is Tu Duleyz and he's a Maori artist he's the ****! dosen't matter where you live in the world he can draw up designs for you and e-mail them through to you it's a step by step process.
You want tribal? you've come to the right place, if you've seen Ben Harper, Robbie Williams or Tysen (Boxer) they are all Maori inspired tatoos.

You can check out inkednation.com. It is made up of tattoo enthusiasts from getting inked to doing the inking. I have chatted to various tattoo artist as well as I have found numerous studios there. The nice thing about this site is that it is made up of people & Studios from around the world. The cool thing is that you have an option to search for studios in your area (they also have contact details posted). The best bet is to talk to the artists & see what you can do & then decide. Rather be informed & know what to expect than jump in the deep end so to speak.
