Certainly not !

With regards the "lumps" it seems to be similar to a reaction that one of my woofs gets.

If she has any pedigree chum food then she gets lumps pop up all along her sides - I would make sure that it is not a food allergy or an allergy to something/somewhere. Does it happen after food ? or if as you say it happens after a walk it may be best to avoid the area.

I find that once she has "digested" the food the lumps disappear, it's a bit like if we get a rash when we eat/touch something that doesn't agree with us.

So long as the lumps are not sore to the touch then I would try seeing if they go down naturally after a set period of time. This should prevent unnecessary trips to the vet.

Best of luck !

Us going to see a doctor when we have a spot is hardly the same thing, so wise up. The dog can't say how it feels. Go without a few treats yourself, and fork out for a vet to determine cause and diagnose.

if you have an older dog an the lump has stayed there for a while, it might just be a fatty lump as (as far as i am aware) older dogs sometime get fatty lumps. but get it checked out anyway

I would, it might just be a fatty lump but then it could be something a little more serious like cancer

Good Luck x
