The Anglican Church as a separate entity from the One Holy Apostolic Catholic Church, with St peter as the visible head and his succesor the Bishop of rome and Patriarch of the West, the Pope, splinted off when Henry VIII could not get an annulment and leave Catherine of Aragon so he could marry Ann Bolean, so he decided to make His own Church, and declared that the king was the heavenly appointed head of the church, therefore since England was a Kingdom, he then henry was the head of the English church. After this, anybody who did not obey His decision and chose to remain faithful to the Pope was executed: Example. St (or Sir) Thomas Moore.
Later on, this splinter splinted even more, although today there is a strong movement back to the Catholic church. Of many who retained the Catholic identity, such as father K here.
What they believe? There are many currents within Anglicanism, some more Catholic oriented, and other definitely Calvinistic or Lutheran.
Something i wanna point out: I, as many catholics around the world, pray daily to see the Church of England comeing back to the fold. England that gave so many saints and defended the faith heroically. Nowadays many true perversions have occured withim groups belonging to teh Anglican communion, and to me the one that really topped it off, waas when one anglican bishop received the ordination from his boyfriend, come one, what kind of christianit is that. Come back England, we pray for yoy.

The anglicans are members of the Church of England. They are also known as episcopalians. They broke away from the Catholic Church when Elizabeth outlawed Christianity(Catholicsm) in England. In beliefs they are very much the same as Catholics, except they do not recognize the Pope. Google it online for more details. They profess the Nicene creed and have the same sacraments as the Catholic church. Their churches are the same as well.

Its the church of England, the one that everybody in England had to go to so people came to America. King Henry IIIX created it so he could divorce his wife. ITs bascially like the Catholic church but their priests can marry i think. I know that its bascially that same as Catholics but under tha management of the Queen of England.
