I AM TRYING TO DO A QUIKCLAIM DEED AND THE COUNTY CLERK IN THE COUNTY WHERE I LIVE WHICH IS IN NEW JERSEY SAYS WE NEED A LAWYER TO DRAW UP THE DOCUMENT.......PLUS ADDED TRANSFER TAXES IS THIS NORMAL BUSINESS PRACTICES........??

nope you should be able to go to your nearest office supply store and get the correct paperwork :)

Yes, it is standard practice. No, it is not technically required that a lawyer draw up the document. As someone else said, since you don't even have the correct term, you should have a lawyer do the work so you won't do it wrong.

Yes, especially considering that you don't even know the proper term for the deed. It's a "quitclaim" deed, not a "quickclaim" deed.

I would not even consider doing a quitclaim deed without legal advice.
