I don't call it cheating, I call it pushing the envelope.
There is not one car sitting in the garage area right now that is 100% completely correct the way NASCAR would want it to be. Every team is doing something to their car and they just have not be caught yet.
When NASCAR does catch it, it will then go into NASCAR's rule book as a "no, no". Until then the teams will hope their car has an advantage over everyone else's.
Like it or not, thats the way the game is played people, it's racing not the bingo hall...

I'm quite suprised about that as well. Youre right all the teams to do it, just some get caught. Cheating is a part of NASCAR always has been always will be. Well let me rephrase that to a term Jeff Hammond used. "It's not cheating, it's creative engineering." Which essentially it is, most of the time the teams are just pushing the grey area. Just wait until the Car of Tomorrow gets here, there's probably going to be a ton of "creative engineering" going on.

Well, only the fans that don't know the sport are. Every team pushes the rules. They'll take every advantage they can try. NASCAR is getting more and more efficient at finding it. So I think it's just happening more often now, and will a lot more in the near future.

A lot of nascar rules are not in black and white, there is a lot of gray.So the team use this to get an edge on other teams. But if nascar doesn't like it, or you, than your cheating. That's why some teams never get caught and others do.

Mainly fans are like that because they don't understand absolutely everything. It's natural that they cheat because NASCAR is very competitive.
Though I have to say, I expected at least one driver to be caught because it's the Daytona 500

If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'. Exactly, every team pushes the rules. Every team has cheated at some point or another...there is even times when a team cheats and doesn't realize it. ...but guess what, it is still cheating. Just like in football, it is perfectly legal until that penalty flag is thrown...right?

I don't know why they are shocked. You're exactly right. They all cheat. No, I don't think my driver (GO #24!) is beyond it. I can't blame any team for trying.

Whenever there's that much at stake people will push the envelope to get to the top. Human nature. It's always been the racers rule.

But it's not okay to cheat just because you don't get caught. I would hope my driver wouldn't cheat but he does I think he should be punished.
