I'm assuming you're referring to a colon polyp? It's possible, but not likely. You might be jumping the gun a bit. Telling a parent and seeing a doctor is much less embarrassing or tragic than not telling them. Go get it checked out.

If you're talking about a colon/rectal polyp, then you need to see someone about it. It's rare for someone as young as you to have one, but it could happen. It is more likely to be a hemorrhoid, or even a pseudopolyp related to inflammatory bowel disease.
If it is a true polyp, it can turn into cancer and kill you. You should see a gastroenterologist, who can do an exam and tell you what's going on.
(You can also grow polyps elsewhere, like in your nose, on your vocal cords, in your stomach, etc.)

Trust me dear when it comes to your health it is nothing to play around with. You may be embarrassed to tell your parents but that is the best thing to do, then they can get you to the right doctor for this. If you wait and if you do have a polyp then the long term of it can be devistating. Please for your sake and your family go to the doctor, that's what they are here for?

I don't want to scare you but you need to talk to your parents ASAP about this. My daughter came to me at 17 yrs old with what she thought was a polyp and after weeks of misdiagnosis they did emergency surgery because it was growing rapidly, turned out to be a rare form of muscle cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma.
She went through a lot of treatment for this and it was not easy but the bottom line is do not keep this to yourself out of embarrassment, tell your mom or doctor right away.

In a few years you will lose that embarrassment as you have to talk to Dr.s about more and more private things.
Polyps can be a problem, but not always. At your age, I would definitely have it checked out soon.
Go see a General Surgeon, preferably one who is a Surgical Oncologist. He will surely want to do a colonoscopy since you may have others WAY up in there.
