I'm 15, and I've started shaving my pits in the past year. I see lots of women who's armpits are brown from shaving, and I don't want mine to get like that! I've heard it's from shaving them almost every day, and exept for in the summer, I never shave them unless I know I'll be wearing a tank top. Maybe once every two weeks. If I shave them that rarely, will I still get the brown stain? Is there any way to not get it without having your pits be totay hairy instead?

I don't take a shower every day. I take a shower like twice a week. It's not gross, and I don't smell or anything. And I don't want to wax. That would hurt to much!

Buy a home wax kit. Get your mom to help you. You'll only have to do it once a month. Hurts like hell, but sooo worth it. Your armpits are hair free and very clean looking.
or just go to a salon. You will need to grow it pretty long. Maybe for a week. But you wont have a problem if you only shave every couple of weeks.

That sounds so fake. Your armpits only grow more hair than before thats why I don't shave. Just quit shaving and start waxing once a week and your problems will be over. Good Luck!!

Shaving your armpits will not make them turn brown. I have been shaving mine since I was a teen (I am now in my 50s) and mine are not brown. I don't shave them everyday, just once a week or more if I am wearing a sleeveless top. Don't worry.

I gave up shaving years ago & the only way to avoid it is to have your hair removed by electrolysis. If you take daily showers, you don't need to shave OR use chemical deodorants on your armpits. I think the chemicals contribute to that "brownish stain" that you refer to! There is nothing wrong with having hairy armpits. Do what YOU feel comfortable with!

It has more to do with the fact that some people don't wash under their arms. Go ahead and shave I've never had any brown effects. I've only seen it on women who don't wash everyday.

Permanent hair removal is an option. Pay to have it done, and you'll never need to worry about shaving again.

You can even buy an electrolysis stylus and do it yourself.
