No, just because atheists don't believe in religion, doesn't mean that other people shouldn't be allowed to be religious.

Are you that negative about Christianity? we are loose to do what we want. i'm aChristian. i have self assurance Christianity is the 'top way' to pass. If someone should be an Atheist, or the different faith, that's as a lot as them. What makes u . s . a . large is our FREEDOM to do what we want. because of this we've one of those number of issues. many human beings cant cope with the liberty, and are too irresponsible, and do undesirable issues. even as u . s . a . is a awesome position, we are no longer waiting for a theocratic authorities. As you may discover for the time of historic previous, and in the middle east today, a theocratic authorities does no longer artwork. in elementary words even as Christ returns will there be a 'potential' theocracy. i does no longer help an modification for this. Now on your underlying difficulty, the authorities wouldnt do it both, with the aid of the undeniable fact that could want to advise a lot less tax revenues.....

No. I'm French and France is a non-religious state, which doesn't mean religion is banned at all! It just means the separation of church and state.

It means that people are free to have their own religion, to go to their church, temple, mosque, etc. but that the government is free from religious thoughts (we don't swear on the Bible when we go to court - I think! Never been to court) and influence. I think it's good, because it allows freedom of choice.

Cults are not allowed, though (cult as in "I'm going to take your money to pray for a religion I've just created, and maybe we're going to commit suicide together").

No that's grossly over-simplified and premature. First we need to understand the role of religion - and explore the possiblity of meeting those needs in a less mysterious and divisive way that works for everyone. You can't just turn something off that is so needed by so many people.

I think people have a right to their religion....and nobody should ever stick their nose up at another religion just because they think their religion is incorrect.
I think trying to convert the unwilling should be outlawed.

No, I believe in freedom of religion (or the lack thereof) All of the atheists I know are extremely supportive of civil rights.

If religious people want to worship their gods in their own churches, I don't care. It's when they want to bring their indoctrination into the public school system when I just point to our existing constitution that says seperation of church and state.
