Grande Place is the best place to go. Go around the corner and see the Mannequin Pis - the statue of the peeing little boy. It's weird, but it's the biggest tourist attraction there. And on your way back, buy chocolate...forget the wine. If you want alcohol, go with beer.

Grande Place would be a good place to visit and it is near the station. There are also shops around there that sell lace. A supermarket is the best place to buy wine. Do leave plenty of time to get your train. They are very good at changing the platform at the last minute so listen to announcements or if your french isn't up to it find some one on the platform going to the same place and ask them to tell you if anything is announced.

Now...depends on which railway station you are the closest to.
If the Gare du Midi, then go see the Grand Place and have a good mussels there, visit the little streets, buy good Belgian chocolate
About the vines, you''ll get them cheaper in the Super markets...Dunno if you'll have the time to do that in 2 hours
Have a nice stay

You could go to Sablon, it's one of Brussels' nicest places, with loads of exclusive shops, chocolatiers such as Marcolini, cafes & restaurants . I believe you should be able to purchase wine inside Brussels South station. Have a nice trip !

Wine in Brussels? You are jocking.
2 hr is nothing. You can go to Grand Markt and eat some fish or if you need something very original -
you can go close to the EC premises to see faces of all these terrible euro-bureaucrates. You can't find something like those people elsewhere.

eat pommes frites with mayo and go see grand place(Grote Markt). It's the gothic center square of the city and most notable landmark probably. Assuming your connection is at Brussel-Centraal you should be able to pop over for a look no problem. It's walking distance.

Go to a museum or a allery, or
have a local restaurant meal or
just walk in the nearest city and buy a wine made locally.

You do realise Brussels in is Belgium, eh?
You should try to sleep for 2 hours. You'll find the best wine in your local supermarket when you get home.
