Not if it's been handled correctly. Salmon makes good sushi, but if it's been sitting around or has been exposed for a long time I wouldn't try it.
Freshly cooked salmon that's a bit rare on the inside is okay, since nearly all food poisoning-type germs are on the surfaces. I prefer my fish at a medium to medium-rare doneness.

Hi aubry, raw salmon? I wouldnt chance it, any raw fish can get you sick, so why take the chance even if you undercook it.look at it this way, which would you rather have , that undercooked salmon, or a whopper of a bellyache that can hospitalize you for a few weeks? Jan

I have eaten an (entirely) raw salmon before. But it was straight from the grocery store. And I have a healthy immune system.
... and yes, salmon is in sushi.
However, if you have a weakened immune system (for WHATEVER reasons), don't eat raw seafood. It's not worth the risk.

As long as it sushi grade or really good salmon it won't hurt. You don't want to be eating some nasty fish though. I eat it raw all the time.

I cook salmon so that it has been cooked on the outside (seared) and left raw on the inside, it should have warmed through but is totally o.k. to eat.

You could bite into a salmon straight out of the lake, not kidding. Don't let it sit around for to long.
