Because then you would not have faith, you would have undeniable fact and without faith in God he doesn't want you in Heaven.
And for those who think the proof is all around us, does that mean you have no faith because you think you have fact?
It just doesn't make sense, how are you supposed to have faith if you think you have undeniable proof?
Faith by definition is the acceptance of something which has NO SUPPORTING PROOF. With proof there can be no faith.

Faith IS the belief in something which has no supporting evidence! That is the definition! I don't have faith that the apple on my desk is really there, because I can see it. But if I closed my eyes, I would have faith that it's there because I can't be sure, someone might have snatched it away when I closed my eyes.
And therefore, if you had undeniable proof of God, you would know longer have faith, you would have FACTUAL KNOWLEDGE.
In conclusion, if God were to prove His existence, faith in Him would no longer exist, we would simply KNOW He is there.
But, on the other hand, He said we must have faith in Him in order to get to Heaven...

No because proof of God already exists. Didn't you get that memo?
There seems to be some confusion, does this help?
Faith is the evidence, the proof of what you believe to be true yet cannot sense with your physical senses. Faith is the bridge from the intangible to the tangible from the spirit realm into the physical realm. Faith takes our belief, concept or idea, what we really believe to be true, and changes it into a substance, a thing, a tangible reality. It is when we stand up and stand on what we really believe to be really true that our belief is transformed in our mind to faith. The result is that our choices reflect what we believe to be true and become the evidence of our faith. Since our actions always follow our choices our works are the result of our faith. It is from the fruit of our works that determine our source and what we really believe to be true, regardless of what we say we believe.
Most people that say they have faith don't. This is because they don't know what they really believe to be true. As Christians, we believe in the truth claims of God that are in the Holy Bible. If a person never reads the bible and learns what God's truths are then their faith is not weak, it does not exist. This is because if you are not clear on what you believe then you cannot stand on or stand up for what you really believe to be true, therefore, the transformation from belief to faith never takes place.
As Christians we have proof that God exists. This is because we have a one on one relationship with Him. It is impossible to have a personal relationship with someone that does not exist. Our "faith" is in the truth claims and promises from God that are written in the Holy Bible.

You're understanding of faith is faulty. Faith is not just for the religious. People have faith in science. The term "faith" means to believe. You believe in radical empiricism, then you have faith in it. You believe in God, then you have faith in God. Science is based on basic assumptions that have no real empirical evidence, such as the notion that human beings can only "know" what our senses tell us. That claim is taken faithfully by those who put their trust in only a scientific view of reality.
If God appears in a physical form distinguished as some entity apart from what God created there would be no more or less reason to have faith in God. The problem with radical empiricists is that they want evidence provided for everything, even faith.

I do not dread it, but embrace it-- because there is already so much proof in my life, and that is what fuels my faith. Belief and faith in God and my savior do not end when I discover that they are, in fact, quite real. I know they are real, and finding proof would just be like going around the world 5 times to get to your next door neighbor's house. Faith is always there. Do you have faith in your spouse? Yes... and you need it because you do not see him or her all the time. But you also know for certain that she or he exists and that she or he loves you. Factual proof does not eliminate the need for faith.

Actually there will be proof of God one day very soon and I for one I'm looking forward to this day. This is the day that Jesus returns and we that believe go to meet Him face to face. Then we won't need faith but those who have no faith now, will then on that day, have it but it will do them no good. You must exist Jesus this side of eternity.

Hebrews 11:1-Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
We have never seen God so we will not have proof that God exists until we die and go to heaven to meet Him.

Without proof there can be no real faith. Weak faith waits for proof, it lacks understanding. My understanding is the proof of my faith.

As a Christian, no, I did not dread the day that I learned of the proof of God. The only way to get this proof is to go to God. It is sort of like a place on earth, Singapore for example. I can do everything under the sun to convince you with evidence that it exists, but the only real proof is for you to go there yourself and to see what it is like. When you truly go to God, you can see for yourself, but in order to do that, you must follow the map, in this example, the map would be the Word of God. Going to God any other way would be like chosing your own way to Singapore...the only way you will find it with that attitude is by shear luck. However, God promises that if you truly seek Him, that He will see to it that the Way to Him will be revealed to you in as much detail as you need it.
That is kind of what we mean by faith. If you do not believe Singapore exists, and you are unwilling to even look for it where it is said to be found, ignoring all maps and such, because you have no faith that it exists, then how can you ever go to Singapore? To some extent, you must believe that Singapore is at least within the realm of possibility in order to begin your search. It is the same way, in many respects, with ones search for God.
Also, faith is more about love than anything else. Faith, for one who has found God, is like being faithful in marriage. In fact, in the Bible, the word "faith" is usually the exact same word as "fidelity". You can never be truly faithful to your spouse unless you love them and are in love with them -- it is the same with our faith for God. It is like a marraige because that is what marriage is here for, to show us an example of what a real, loving, faithful relationship is like.
Faith is evidence, it is not the lack of evidence, it is merely evidence of another kind. For example, a mother's love for her child. Can you prove that she loves her child? Can we see that in a microscope, put it in a test tube, or file it away somewhere? Yet, for the most part, we can know and see if a mother truly loves her child can't we? Even if we can't, if she truly loves her child, then she does truly love her child, her love exists, whether we can prove it or not.
Surely you can see faith in God is the same way. A baby may not know exactly what a mother is, or what its mother is, but it knows it is loved -- we are as babes in this sense, for God is so far above us, and we are so childlike in our minds in comparison, that the only way we can know His love is the same way a baby knows that it is loved by its mother. Do not worry, one day all will become clear to us, just like when a child gets old enough to understand what a mother is. We do have some understanding, each according to what they are able to learn.

the holy spirit gives me faith. God has placed just enough "evidence" to prove his existance, but we must ultimately decide if we wish to have faith in God with what has been revealed to us.

Your logic is screwed up... you can have faith and still have proof..
I have proof that the chair will hold when I sit down but I still have to have faith each time I sit in that chair that it will hold me
And they say that Atheists are supperior in logic and reasoning... blows that theory

ok i would be easy and say i did no longer examine all of that simply by fact, extremely frankly, i'm in a lazy temper. i think of the genuine question isn't "Does god prefer information?" yet "Do people prefer information?" And yeah some people do no remember if that is simply by fact they're obdurate, quest for genuine wisdom, or are in basic terms a form of folk who would desire to "see to have self assurance." we will not truly help it. that is element of who we are.
