My granddaughter is 23 months old sometimes when she is just standing or sitting she will start shaking for no apparent reason. It is like a whole body shiver.

Is it a shiver or a shake? Either way, you should really get her to a pediatric neurologist and rule out seizures....there are many types and not all are obvious. Does it happen often? You really should get your daughter/son to take her in to the doctor. Good luck!

She needs to see the doctor ASAP - possibly a pediatric neurologist. Do her eyes look vacant when she does this? Does she have no idea she's doing it if you talk about it later? Well, wait, she might be a little young for that.

It could be seizures, it could just be a benign tremor that some kids get now and then. Still, don't put off having her evaluated!!

Epilepsy? This is a medical condition that needs a doctor's answer.
