Well now you're going to get to see what white people really do...of course, that's if he decides to let you in on the secret society.
You'll probably spend your week nights at lush country clubs discussing politics and business. Your weekend will be spent at some of the most exspensive ski resorts in the world. You will also have to attend monthly meetings on how to keep the black man down. You will also learn how to deny minority's jobs and bank credit. Of course you will be forced to listen to rock music and hip-hop will not be accepted. Soon, (if you are black) you will lose all of your athletic ability and will have no clue how to dance. And after about a year you will find yourself a KKK meetings. That's what you'll do...like every other white person.

I have dated black men and there wasn't any issues about color. We talked about it, we agreed that all color is beautiful and that what is inside of a person is more value than color or spots or stripes. *smile*
Trust your gutt. Be yourself and if you think the guy isn't sincere then back away
If you feel like a fool, it isn't you it is him. Thus, if he makes you feel bad don't blame yourself. He would be the one with the issue not you. YOU go into this being yourself and knowing that you are a quality girl. If he is using you....karma will take care of it.
I wish you the best.

I'm Old-School! We were preaching about getting Color out of our Language. We're all equal. That's what the Civil Rights Marches were all about. I'm a white Guy. And I don't wanna see Race, as a reason to stop anything. Enjoy yourself! Love is out there. and it's Color Blind!

If you feel like you'd be making a fool of yourself, maybe you're not really comfortable with your decision. Why have you made that decision? Is it for your own happiness or to go against someone else's wishes (like family). My advice is don't do anything you're really not sure about.

unless you're an azz by nature, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. i think most everybody here has already said it, just be yourself and you should be just fine. just wondering what made u decide to date outside your race? FYI-I've been involved in an interracial relationship for a long time and a man is a man whatever his skin color is, so RELAX!! don't put so much pressure on yourself!!

Don't want to make a fool of yourself? If you have doubts, then perhaps you shouldn't date this guy. I wonder if this guy you have decided to date knows of your concern? There is nothing foolish about interracial dating.

Why would you make a fool of yourself? Interracial couples are accepted now more than ever before. Don't worry, if you like him, it doesn't matter about anyone else.

Have you picked out any particular white guy yet, or is this just a policy decision at this point?

I have lots of friends who are white and are married to black guys. (not that I am assuming you are black. I am just stating a point) It does not matter what race or color you are. What matters is how you feel about each other and how you treat each other.
