I am having some laser hair removal done, and Im not sure if its common courtesy to tip the nurse who is preforming the procedure as I would my hairdresser or manicurist???

It depends whether you plan to come back or not. I heard some nurses have actually implanted new hair on people who didn't tip them properly. One of them is the guy who plays the caveman in the Geico ads. No, really!

Never heard of a nurse being tipped for anything.

Doesn't the nurse get paid? Is she doing her job? Why tip someone who is doing her job and being paid to do it? If she needs more money for her work she should take that up with her employer, it is not up to you to supplement her wages.

No you do not tip.
We Nurses are decently paid overworked professionals. Yet with all the whining and complaining that the patients and their families do. We should receive something extra.

Would you tip your Doc for removing a mole?
If you want to bring in a bagel tray for the whole cosmo staff to enjoy then they(we) will love that!
