I'm a 17 year old guy and all girls ever tell me is that I'm "really cute". I've never heard a girl tell me I'm hot. Is it maybe because that makes it sound more like they actually like me but cute just makes it sound like they like your looks?
Today was a perfect example. 3 girls today called me cute but none of them said hot! I was talking to some girl, I walked away and I heard at the last second when she walked away "He's sooo cute isn't he?" to her friend.
Cute makes me sound like a little kid or something.

Cute means that they like your face, but not your bod.
Frankly, I'm jealous. I'd settle for cute. ;-)

That's better than nothing. At least they are being nice. Put up your pic so we can have a look then! Aww cute is nice, I'd have a cute guy over a hot one anyday! Hey come to think of it, I've never said to any of my friends 'that guy is hot'.....I do say cute quite a bit. Cute is a very nice complioment from a girl.

relax kid, cute is girl code for hot, they dont say hot to the guy unless they are desperate and have they said it to you alone no friends around? that could be the issue but if a girl says cute she likes your looks and your personality so its what great relationships start on so dont expect hot till your a bit older in college id expect anyhow :D

Believe me, your doing alright. I'm 40 and I would die for he's so cute. At your age guys tend on being defensive over things that are meant as compliments. Most likey its easier for the girls to say your so cute but actually to them it means the same thing.

Not necessarily, the "Cute" the girl said was probably your looks and maybe even personality :).
She never said childish or immature, so she probably doesn't see you as a kid little.

dude...take it a reallllllllllllllly good thing...to me cute and hot is pretty much the same thing...cute means you have a really cute face...hot means your body and face...well to me...cute comming from a girl is pretty big take that as a huggggggggge compliment..not all guys are really cute you no...
