Try a Chihuahua Club for a list of responsible breeders. DO NOT BUY from a store or backyard breeeder. You will pay a littel more, but will get a healthier dog and will not promote the breeding of unhealthy and unwanted dogs.

Definitely look on Petfinder to find available Chi's in your area. I tell everybody this, but just because the dog is on the website doesn't mean it's still in the shelter. They don't update very frequently. You'll be better off visiting the shelters in person. And I know you really want to go to a breeder, but I just got a terrific 5 year old Chihuahua from a local shelter and she is an amazing little girl. I couldn't ask for anything better. Good luck!

ninety 9% of canines you detect to purchase on line (exceedingly popular canines like chihuahuas) are from outdoor breeders or domestic dog generators and are specific to be genetic messes. There are a lot of purebred chis at shelters and rescues.
