You could try a psychologist, they talk to you, get to the bottom of things, and do not prescribe meds.
As far as a relationship, yes its possible for one to last. I am clinically depressed & have been with my husband for 18 years, married for 16.
Good luck!

You could lighten up; you are too serious and that is the cause of depression. But if you will look at kids and think like they think your depression will disappear over time. For example, watch movies they like many times like a kid does: watch Shrek or Over the Hedge or other movies kids like and then review the funny scenes in your mind as you go about your day. Also, collect jokes, at least one per week. Lawyer jokes search Yahoo for them are my favorite. Read kid books like the magical Fairy child by Bob Grahm or books by Shel Silverstien. Collect funny greeting cards (my office is lined with them) such as those from Oatmealstudios.com (the site is funny). Watch Saturday Night live highlights off DVD's you can buy on Amazon.com. Put kid stuff into your world. I put fake bullet holes on my car, etc, etc, and I have a blast all day long; you can too.

Forget the drugs man, try doing some things you like.
As for your relationship, yes depression can be tough on that, so try to see the bright things in life.

You know talking to someone might help. A counselor or an understanding friend. I know its hard, but talking to someone definitely will help. GOOD LUCK!
