Acetominophen damages the liver. When taken in large amounts the damage is irreversible and the liver tissue dies, the body soon follows.

I actually did this when I was 15 took 45 extra strength Tylenol, had flu like symptoms for 3 days then on the 3rd night the rents were threatening to take me to docs the next morning cause I was only getting worse and my eyes and skin were looking jaundice that is when I got scared and told them what I had done was rushed to the er were the doc said that if they had waited till morning I would either have been in a coma or dead, I had to drink some nasty stuff 4 times a day to absorb the Tylenol from my liver they thought it was to late though and was very sure I would need have a liver transplant. Luckily for me after a week of being in the hospital they let me go home saying that if I drank more then like one or 2 beers a month my liver would co laps but being 15 I never drank anyways and by the time I was 21 and got drunk the first time well nothing happened I'm 29 now have been drunk a few times and enjoy an occasional drink and so far my liver is holding up just fine

A slow agonizing painful death about 3 days after you take that much. Tylenol in excessive doses will destroy your liver. Without your liver, you will die. The process is slow and painful. If it is not treated in a timely manner, then you could potentially get a liver transplant, but this is also a huge surgery with a long recovery. Also, it may be difficult to find a center that will do a liver transplant

Sever liver damage and or liver failure is possible in a tylenol overdose. Acetominophen(tylenol) is excreted from the liver, so its like a toxic overload to your liver when you take more than the recommended dose.If someone was to overdose with tylenol they should go to the nearest ER asap.

Tylenol over dose can kill you. If it doesn't kill you you can have permanent liver damage. Usually people that over dose call for help. In the ER. You are given Charcoal (looks like black ink. I have been told it taste like rotten eggs) to drink. It absorbs the medication. That is after they pump your stomach out. Then after a night in the hospital you seen a psychiatrist and then they decided whether or not your are a danger to yourself. If they think you are then you are transfer to a psych hospital. So is it really worth the chance?

If you're lucky and remain alive, you could expect massive Liver damage.
Doctors have stated the maximum effective dose is 1,000mg. Anything over this amount would likely cause Liver damage.
