Go to your local pharmacy and get some burn gel. That stuff works great. You'll be glad you did.

Right after you burn yourself, cold water is best. I have found that Neosporin works really well on minor burns. Also, aloe vera gel is awesome. You can find this almost at any pharmacy. This will cool and soothe the burn. Hope that helped!

Loads of cold running water. Run the water for 10 min and then for another 10 mins if the burn is still stingy carry on with the water until it cools down. Water is much better than any cream as the cream soothes the pain just for a while.

Keep it clean, covered with a thin layer of Triple Antibiotic Ointment and over that put clean dry gauze. A better cover would be Xeroform (petroleum and bismuth-impregnated gauze) that is hard to find. If you can find it, put it directly over the burn and wrap the dry gauze around that.
Any burn that does not improve in a few days should be evaluated by a doctor of course. Increased pain, redness or drainage may indicate that the area is worsening.
