She was potty trained at 2 1/2, didn't wet the bed then but now for the past couple of weeks has been having accidents. I stop giving her liquids at 8 pm and make her go before she goes to sleep. I do not know what else to do.

By no means am I complaining. I wet the bed until I was in my early teens, so maybe it is because of genetics. Trust me, I know what she is going through. I just wondered why she started when she has been dry every night since she was potty trained.

I would talk to her Pediatrician. You should try limiting the amount of fluids she drinks within 2 hours of going to sleep. Have her use the bathroom before bed. It is important to bring her to the doc so you can be sure that nothing medical is wrong. The doctor might want to consider putting her on a medication called DDAVP (Generic name Desmopressin) which is a medication specifically used to help with bedwetting. It duplicates a hormone that the body usually makes naturally. Two of my children were on DDAVP and showed great sucess. I would talk to her doctor. Bedwetting is very common, more common than many people think and it runs in families. For example if you wet the bed as a child your children are more likely too. Sometimes changes, trauma, moving, divorce and things like that can cause bedwetting too.

It doesn't matter if she's potty trained. She is three years old. She can't handle her bladder like adults can. When she's asleep, she can't wake up on her own every hour or so during the night to go to the bathroom. What you could do is wake her up yourself every now and then. Otherwise, you can't complain, because she's just a little kid. I know someone who wet the bed up until they were eight. So a three year old, it's normal.

It might just be a couple accidents. If it's almost every night, there might be something wrong with her bladder. I don't know what it's called but my sister had to wear pull-ups until she was seven years old. Don't worry, it can be stopped before then. Go to the doctor and explain the problem. He'll give you a prescription and you can go to the drug store and get it. If this is what my sister had, it'll be an oval-shaped white pill (I don't know if there's a fluid one) and she'll have to take it every night before he goes to bed. If it's none of these, I don't know what it is.
Good luck!!!
