Take her into the men's room. My husband and I have spoke on the subject. Guys don't just walk around exposed in there, so it's safe. Just have him carry her into one of the stalls. I personally would rather my husband always keep an eye over her, then trusting some stranger, just because she is a female. We can be crazy too :)

How "young" is young?
Up through about age 7 I took my daughters into the men's room and we went into a stall. Past that age they went into the ladies room and I waited at the door outside.
Occasionally, if things were taking what seemed to be too long, I asked older women to check on things for me. The women were always very happy to do so.

My husband takes my daughter into the public men's restrooms on occasion. He just says close your eyes and takes her into a stall to go. These days you can't trust anyone with your children. I wouldn't want her to go into to the ladies room alone either.

My hubby took our daughter into the mens room till she was like 4. Then after that she was big enough to take care of herself in the bathroom and he just waited outside the door. That has only happened a few times though because I am always there. But in those cases that is what we did. And a dad shouldn't go into the womens bathroom unless it is a "true emergency" & I would never ask a stranger to do anything for my child... especially in a restroom.

Well, I think it would depend on the age. I would say 4 or younger, he should take her in the men's and just try to have her not look on the way to the stall. Older than that, I think it would be okay for the dad to stand right by the door. It's tough. I think that's why they are starting to see the need more so for family bathrooms.

Depends on how old. Depends on where you are. He is not allowed in the girls room. Under 5 or 6 just take her in men's room. Cover her eyes, get in and out quickly. Over 5, she can go in women's room alone. The majority of child molesters are men so she should be safe in the women's room. Unless somewhere like the airport or sports stadium with two doors to restroom and very crowded. It is safer to just take her into the men's room. She won't be scarred for life.

I used to work at a restaurant as a student, and men frequently asked me to take their little daughters to the toilet for them. I was happy to do so, but the manager stopped it in case some sicko decided to accuse me of abuse - I was horrified when he told me that, as such things hadn't even crossed my mind! After that, I had to show them to the disabled toilets downstairs which was a single locked cubicle. It was inconvenient for families, though. Some parents would ask another female customer to help the little ones instead, but I never saw anyone take their daughter into the mens room.

25 years ago, my father would send me to the public womens and ask a stranger to help me.
Today is a little more difficult.
I can take my sons in the womens with me, but it is more difficult with girls because of how a men's room is laid out.
I think honestly, most women will still help the "single" father with his daughter.
I know I would.

If she is under 5 have him go into the mens room and check to make sure it's empty. If anyone comes in ask politely if he could wait until your daughter is done.Older then that ask a middle age woman to take her in and to keep an eye on her.Good luck

Have her use the ladies room and if there other ladies around ask if they could keep a eye on her. If no ladies around stand near by and have her call for you if you are need. Ladies normally will help guys out with little girls. I wouldn't want a little girl to see a grown man using the urinal.
