That really depends, were you in the mood to break up with him as you wanted attention or to hurt him, or was it that you felt your relationship had run its course. Either way nobody here knows you or your ex so only you can decide if it was stupid.

Think about it this way: How do you feel about it now?
If you don't miss him at all then it's possible that the relationship was at a stand still or going downhill anyway. If you do miss him then it's up to you to decide what to do next, and up to him if he wants to go along with it.

of course that was stupid, not to mention hurtful. That shows that you are really not into him. Instead of just playing w/his feelings, as a human being be honest and leave him alone.

Well, if you were feeling like that, then you obviously aren't ready to be in a relationship. So I would have to say no, it wasn't stupid.

I'm sorry to tell you this hun but it was. I bet he really liked you and it'd upset him to know that the break-up was because you "just felt like it." think about it...would you want someone breaking up with you because they were just in the mood?

To be honest i think it is stupid. If u liked him there must be a reaso why u decided to break up with him. If you dont like him then i dont think its stupid.
