I read somewhere that having sex and sharing needles is a sure way of catching something like that.

the chance is so remote that doctors say it is almost unmeasurable to catch stds (sexually transmitted diseases) from a glass or kissing. the mouth is equipt to kill alot more then our sexual organs are, the mouth is the most loaded area for bacteria and it has grown to adapt to solving those problems naturally, i wouldn't worry bout it at all :D

Sharing needles, yes. Sharing a glass, no. HIV/AIDS is primarily found in the blood of an infected individual and while saliva does have traces, it's usually not potent enough to be transferred to someone else.

Hmm.. i do no longer propose you lie yet once you truly need an excuse, then purely tell your mom which you have been embarrassed (or your pal became) which you have been green with kissing.. for this reason you in basic terms needed your pal to tutor you procedures that is finished.. this is a quite lame excuse yet, I truthfully propose telling her the fact..

No, and to anyone who is saying otherwise, you are an idiot. Do you know how much fluid would have to pass in the glass or kiss to get it? Trust me, you wouldn't want to drink/kiss with the amount of fluid involved.

I have read about a documented case that involved 2 people with gum disease one of whom was HIV positive. In their case the virus was transferred through blood in their mouths when they kissed.

The way AIDS has evolved there's no real way of detecting how you can get it. The best way to not get it is stay away from risky people who have had many partners and remember there is a certain amount of blood in your mouth.

it's only throough the blood contact, but I still wouldn't take the risk. You can get hep b through the saliva or sexual secretions. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. If the person cared about you they wouldn't take the risk either.
