I am confused. I wasnt born in to christianity but it was forced upon me later as a very young kid. My parents are deeply faithful although they haven't always been the best examples of christians. Thinking back on it i never really did "feel" like a christian,"saved" or whatever you want to call it. The only sure thing i could remember is the terrifying fear of going to hell if i didnt believe. But i always felt like i was pretending to believe to please my parents. Now that I'm an adult, as i learn more about the world my opinions and values continue to change. So here is my current belief system in a nutshell:
Jesus- just another man, no special powers
God- if there is one then she or he doesnt care about humans, or there wouldn't be the suffering and death of the innocent in this world.
Religion- I'm not anti-religion, i believe that religious people should leave others alone to believe what they wish. Religion is responsible for more death than any war or disease-this is a fact

If you don't believe in God you are an atheist. If you just don't like religion or just don't have a religion, you would be considered an agnostic, if you still believed in God.

I was where you are at one time in my life. I'd grown up a Roman Catholic and was just confused. I believed in something, but not sure what. A friend of mine gave me a book about Wicca and I found the answers I was looking for.
I know take responsibility for my actions and believe no one is forgiven, whether you murder or steal, you eventually pay for what you do. In the same token, you live doing no harm and you are rewarded likewise. This is the three-fold law or karma.
There is a God, but there is also a Goddess. And they guide us, not decide for us.
We do not push our belief on anyone, but you are not an athiest. Just looking for answers.

You can still be an agnostic or deist. When I was Catholic all I wanted was not to suffer in Hell but I reached a point where it seemed people were just huddling together because they were afraid of pain.

Sounds like you're undecided. If you decide that you believe in a god but one that is totally uninvolved in our every day affairs, then you're a deist. If you think you can never really know if one exists, you're an agnostic. If you come to the conclusion that gods don't exist, you're an atheist.

Agnostic with a hint of deism (belief that there is a God but he doesn't care or get involved in human issues)

Well i would say yes. It's hard to believe when you really havent felt the holy spirit...i havent really been close to god for a long time, but i know that when you feel the holy spirit, its like a big huge sign saying i am real and im here and it feels awesome. I dont know if you have ever felt it or have any desire to feel it, but i know it changed me and the road i was going down...He really is there...if you let him be

Ask yourself this: Do I 100% believe, simply believe (but not strongly), simply lack the belief, or 100% do not believe in a god?

Respectably, gnostic theist, agnostic theist, agnostic atheist and gnostic atheist.

Agnostics question the existance of god. Sometimes from there people become atheists. So you may be becoming one.
