Is there any other way to acquire HPV, other than sexual transmision, or sexual contact (skin to skin contact)??? Ex using the towel of another person, etc etc.

I never had contact with another person in the genital area and I'm a virgin, but the gynecologist thinks that I have hpv, and I forgot to ask her how I acquire it.

Generally, the strains of HPV that cause cervical abnormalities aren't transmitted by anything else but sexual contact. Yes, there have been cases of perinatal HPV, but those lesions generally show up in the throat, not genitals.
Towels will not spread HPV. HPV is spread by SKIN CONTACT. Not fluids!
Your doctor might suspect you have HPV because s/he saw some abnormal cells in your cervix. However, many young women have fleeting cervical abnormalities NOT caused by HPV. The cervix takes a while to mature. When it is immature, it is more prone to problems. Cells can turn up abnormal for no apparent reason, and they can be more vulnerable to infection.
If you absolutely have not had any genital contact with anybody, then calm down a little and wait to have a follow-up Pap smear.

Gumdrop Girl is EXACTLY right. It's not passed by fluids. It is skin to skin and because of this, you don't even have to have sexual intercourse to get it. It can very easily be passed from Hand contact from his genitals to yours.
If you don't have it, consider your self lucky and get the vaccine!

No, you need contact with the fluids to get it.
