There are tons of unsold Prius and they are offering 0% and they will pay you to take them off their hands. If you wait, the deals on these cars will get better, because more people will figure out what a ripoff they are!

With the high demand for the Prius, there really won't be a good time. Navigation is optional if the '07s are the same as '05 and '06 models, but in my opinion you're better off buying an aftermarket GPS unit. I bought a Pioneer AVIC-S1, and I can use it no matter which car I happen to be driving, which is especially handy when tagging along with your ditsy friends.

To those who say that the cars are ugly: Yes, they are. But it's not about the looks, it's about the environment. The car was basically designed by wind tunnel for less drag and increased fuel efficiency.

In my opinion, the best time to buy a car is during Tax Time (when they are due), so about late March to late April. The reason is that people are hurrying to pay their (usually expensive) taxes, they don't think about buying a car during that time, so the prices are usually below INVOICE price and at 0% financing. As for the Prius Navigation, they should already have it, because my friend's dad has a 2005, and it has Navigation. You also want to go to the dealer like a week and two weeks before you buy the car, so they know you are serious, and you can bargain better. Going before closing sometimes helps too because they will try to make a quick deal before closing. Also, going at the end of the month helps too, because some bosses will offer their salespeople awards for selling a certain number of cars. For example, if Bob's boss says he will give him a $2000 bonus if he sells 120 cars this month, and I go the last day of the month at night, and he has sold 119 cars, and he needs to sell one more car, and you offer $22,000 on a car INVOICED at $24,000, Bob will try to convince the financer to let him sell you the car at that price, even though if it means Bob takes less commission, because he will be getting a bonus. HOPE THIS HELPS!!

God those cars are so silly looking but if you must...I read recently that Toyota is quietly offering cash back on Prius..I dont know if it is true or what amount but you may want to inquire about it..might be a good time to buy if that is the case.

I think that any time would be the right time I had a 2001 and loved it.I kept it till it hit 80000 miles then traded it on a new car.I did not want to chance the expense of buying the big battery's that cost thousands. If you cant get the navigation just buy an after market one that you can take with you from car to car.

as gas prices increase, prius prices will increase and toyota will start making more. However, theyre still very hard to get and somewhat of a gamble. if gas prices go down, the value of the car will decrease sharply and you will have ended up overpaying.

Buy an 06 that is still sitting on the lot. It's WAY cheaper to buy last year's model, and there's hardly ever a difference between them. You can look on Toyota.com and search for a specific car at a specific dealer.
