While I’m supposedly sick, stuck in bed,
I’m wondering if a tiger could stand on its head.
I sneak out of bed, past my mom in her room,
She doesn’t turn around; doesn’t know, I assume.
I walk really fast, down two blocks to the zoo,
I know this’ll take just a minute or two.
I walk straight to the tigers and get down to my work,
The only thing I do is get them to go all berserk.
I get all trampled, all scratched, and all bit,
I might as well just forget it and quit.
On my way out I spy the ice cream man,
I guess I could buy the smallest chocolate can.
I turn around and see a roller coaster, The Flying Mouse.
Right after this, I’ll go back to my house.
When I got off the ride, my mom was right there,
Giving me this terrible, horrible glare.
Now that I’m grounded for a gazillion years,
I’m lying on the floor in a sea full of tears.
So, I guess that’s what comes of being sick, stuck in bed,
And wondering if a tiger could stand on its head.
