Sending more troops to help a military operation can ONLY help. Thats like asking "Can 2 mechanics fix a car faster than 1?"

Not only is it, as you say, a judgement call, but it's also not a 'religion and spirituality' question.
By the way, we already sent troops. You probably meant 'more' troops. Or a 'surge' as they prefer to call it. For some reason, they resist using the words 'more' and 'increased' and prefer the softer and more sexual-sounding 'surge'.

There is no easy answer. We got into this mess and now we need to get out of it. What they have going on there, I assume you are referring to Iraq, is a civil war. It is not our fight, if you ask me.
