to be honest, this girl sounds pretty uninterested... but you said she is shy. so even if she is interested, she wouldnt show it because she might not know how to talk to a guy. so if you get her something for valentines day, either way it will probably scare her off... i would hold off and get to know her a little better before doing anything special for her.

hope that helps. :]

Honestly, even though Valentine's Day is approaching, I think you should really back off. It seems as though she's trying to blow you off, but doesn't want to be mean about it. I think her parents don't approve because of the difference in your age (plus the fact that you're already 18). Lay low for a while. Talk to her, yes. Get to know her, yes. HOWEVER, as far as the thought of her being your girlfriend, give it up for now and just be her friend.

She's clearly not allowed to date yet, which is too bad. And you shouldn't try to talk her into an illicit relationship or get her to lie to her mom, so you'll just have to accept it.
But you can go ahead and give her a gift just to be nice. That would be really sweet.

Still express your love too her. She is so lucky to get it. Guys these days can not get courage and tell us anything. You should get a card and chocolates and flowers. But not to many flowers. She probably dose not want to attacked by flowers when she opens her locker.

get her some flowers - i love getting flowers, I don't understand anyone who doesn't.
could be that her parents are little controlling and don't want her dating, maybe she's just a little more focused on finishing school and doesn't want to get involved with anyone right now but I don't see any harm in being friends.
Good luck!

From what you have said here I think you should forget about it...you are not going out with her and she has declined a date with you...that should tell you something.
If you like her and want to do something nice, a card would be appropriate...but I would leave it at that

be cool...

maybe she has a really strict mother that doesnt allow her to do anything but concentrate on her studies. i think if you got her something it would be a VERY NICE gesture on your part....
