is it how loud it will get? can some one explain this. thanks

it is the rating for the amount of power it takes to get to a certain volume level,the higher the rating, the less power it takes to reproduce x amount of sound
this does not mean one driver is louder than the other it is just one of the many figures you can use to evaluate different drivers
p.s. alot of manufactures are not honest about this number.

In some ways yes...a sub (or speaker) with a higher sensitivity rating will go louder than one with lower sensitivity. Speakers with extremely high sensitivity will usually handle lower power though...but not always.

Sensitivity is listed as how many decibels are produced for 100 watts input. A small change from 92 to 94 is a lot in music.

its the amount of SPL that sub can produce in an opened air envierment with 1 WATT at 1 METER

It relates to the weakness of the signal it can respond to. the more sensitive it is, the weaker the signal it can respond to.
