I haven't tried it, I've only heard of this. Go to your local dog groomer and ask for a bag of dog hair. You might have to pay her/him something to keep them from throwing it in the garbage but, when you have it spread it in your border garden or grass, near the front door. It's biodegradable and washes away in time.
I'm a professional groomer in a rural community and couple of my clients have me save the stuff for them. They use it to keep the barn cats away from areas that they don't want them wandering and to keep flower thieves out of the garden (squirrels etc.)

Cats don't like citrus. If you can, plant small citrus trees or shrubs along your property line or under your windows (check with your local nursery about the different varieties) It works like a natural fence/repellent. It is a good alternative to chemicals which can harm the cats and the environment.
If shrubs or plants are not an option you can try dog {or other large animal (if there is a zoo nearby)} poop. Mix it into the dirt along the fence line. That works pretty well as a repellent.(If you mix it into the top 2"-3" of dirt the cats can smell it but you can't)
To keep your cats from spraying inside clean the rugs with 1 part white vinegar 2 parts water allow to soak for about 5 min (longer if really smelly or dirty) pat dry then spray a citrus cleaner or air freshener in the area. Carbona pet stain remover works very well also. I wish you the best of luck with this and hope it all works out for you.

You need to call animal control to set some traps for the stray cats. I mean all they will do is multiply if they are not fixed and your problem will just get worse. That way maybe they will be able to find a good home too.

I have read in an article to use pepper spray on corners or places where the cats likes to hang around. Of course you do not use the pepper spray on them directly. Spray the pepper spray and when the cat sit around that spot, the pepper spray will get on to their coat. Once the cats starts to 'groom' itself, it will not like the taste thus will leave that area.

Hi, i havent tried myself , but apart from the sprays that in my case didnt work, i have seen people placing bottles of water on their roofs to scare the cats away. It seems that they get scared with their own big reflection seen in the bottle of water. The stinky smell is really unpleasant , but they are just following the course of threir nature marking territory , telling your cats that it's theirs.
Hope it works , try !!

try sprinkling a little bleach around tge area. i had the same problem when my female cat was in heat and the smell of the bleach was enough to deter them from coming around further. plus the bleach will help with the urine smell.

there is a product called cat away that will take care of that problem I think you can get it at a pet supplies shop.and the reason why your cat pees by the door is it's marking it's territory.

get a dog that likes to herd animals, it will try to herd the cats out of your yard. we have a belgian terv and she tries to herd the cats in our neighborhood. she also herds our cats when they get out back to the front door. she doesnt hurt them though, just scares em.
