Qantas generally has the shortest flights, London - Sydney takes 22-24 hours including the stop in Singapore / Bangkok / Hong Kong.

You can save some time by getting one of the Emirates flights Newcastle to Dubai and then Perth. It cuts out London and Singapore. Quoted duration is 20hours 45mins. If continuing on to the East coast, Melbourne is about 3 hrs and Sydney about 3 hrs 30.

from heathrow to sydney took us 22 flying hours and then we had the stop over in Shanghi on top as well,
