The religion you grew up with isn't always the religion that's best suited to your temperment and spiritual needs.

As far as I'm concerned, the best religion for anyone is the religion that brings them joy and fulfillment and helps them be the best human being they can be -- and some people find those things just fine without any religion at all.

So convert away! Search, test things out, find the aspect of the Grand Truth that has the most personal resonance for you. It may take several tries to find the path that's right for you. Above all, never sacrifice your personal integrity.

Actually, that's probably a good thing.

Those of us who were raised with religion took everything taught to us for granted as young people. When we reach adulthood, it is time for us to figure out what we, ourselves, believe.

Those of us raised without religion may discover upon growing up that there is something to one or more religions, and do some research to decide what we feel right about.

Those of us raised with religion, may upon growing up decide that they do not believe what they were taught, and go with science.

A Christian who leaves the Christian church does not "convert"....he/she apostosizes. A non-Christian coming to Christianity converts. A Christian coming to the Catholic faith reconciles with the True Church....and comes to the fullness of Truth.

We all need to find our relative truth, if that means switching religions or doing away with one that's fine, hell if we're gonna spend an eternity paying for our misdeeds might as well enjoy life now.
