I hate when that happens, even when they are nice people.
I hate it when people make fun of ANY religion!! I mean goshh!!!
We are all people and none of us believe in the exact thing as another person!

In a word, ignorance. There is another factor that is more to the point. Where goodness is present, evil will always be present also to do what it can to tear down or minimize the goodness. That is part of the doctrine of opposition in all things. The closer we get to God, the more potent will be Satan's opposition against us. Thus, lies are promulgated against the truth to deceive as many as possible from finding or accepting the truth when they hear it. Nevertheless, the truth will go forth and Satan's efforts to divert others from the truth will be foiled. We must carry on inspite of the opposition. Joseph Smith said it best when he stated that calumnies may assemble, armies may combine, but the work of God will move forward until the word has sounded in every clime and every ear until the work is completed and Jehovah declares it so. That is paraphrased but you get the idea.

The reason that people make fun of Mormons,is because they expect people to believe in the story of Joseph Smith and the angel Moroni,not forgetting the Gold Tablets,which has no credibility whatsoever,so if you are talking about liars,do a little research on the history of the Mormon church and draw your own conclusions,but i think if you believe that,you will believe anything....And i wouldnt say Mormonism is a religion....more like a Multi-National Corporation making obscene amounts of money from peoples gullibility...i dont think you could call that religion

It is not Nice to Make fun of People in the Bad Way, cause we are all Created in the Image and Likeness of GOD Almighty.
It is Good that People want to Learn How to Act in a Good Way in Society.
Religions can help People learn to be Good.
No Offense, but Religions cannot Recreate your Spirit for you.
Getting Born-Again (Spiritman Recreated, is an Actual Spiritual Recreation by Jesus) is the Only Way you can Make Heaven your Home.
If GOD Almighty let HIS Presence (and Power) Flow through an Un-Born-Again Spiritman (Person) that Person would Cease to Exist.
Can't Handle that Power of GOD (Love).
GOD had to Withdraw from Adam when Adam Committed High Treason and Messed up his Spirit.

because many of their beliefs (including the book of mormon) are all lies, stories, fabrications. The majority of mormons are truly good decent people that is true. The majority of atheists are good decent people, too. The Bible alone is the source of GOd's revelations to man. Mormons believe in a lot of mumbo jumbo by a fake angel so they say. LEt us pray that the Holy Spirit will lead them to the truth.

I'm sure there are some very nice Mormons.
But, Mormonism is not a religion at all. In my view it's a cult with as much reason to be called so as Scientology.
I'm sure there are some very nice Scientologist too.

I don't think it's nice to make fun of any religion.There are some LDS who are new to the church and they don't know everything the Church believes. The newbies get the milk before the meat when they join. If someone is telling them things about the LDS church that sound silly they don't believe it, because they haven't been taught that yet in church.

ignorance mostly - but come on honey, let's be honest here, the Mormon's history is, well, complicated. I have studied Mormonism for many years with an open mind and it's just not what it's made out to be. Sorry.
