There is a basset and a blood hound that live right behind me. I have dachshunds. The basset and blood taught my doxies to sing at three in the morning. It's fun and funny, not not when the whole neighborhood is trying to sleep. They bark at certain noises, but seem to howl for no reason what so ever. Any hound will perk up and join in, as I've noticed the terriers in the neighborhood don't sing with the hounds. Bloodhounds and wolves have pretty voices when they sing. It's all communication and nothing to be worried about.

Your dog howls because it objects to the sound of the tune. My dog used to howl miserably when she'd hear this one female singer performing on tv. Come to think of it, I didn't like the woman's voice either. Dogs have a different way of hearing than we humans. It's your dog's way of asking you to please shut that tune off.

Because they have taste - they know they're gonna get half an hour of senseless screaming and shouting. If you want your mutt to leave home, play the weekend omnibus edition. Your husband will go with him. It's unadulterated crap.

Dogs have wonderful hearing, far superior to humans. The music probably drives it mad. It'll be too loud for it.

Do you play it loud? if you do, it might hurt their ears bc dogs have such great hearing. Bc they your dog can hear better than you, it probobly sounds like screetching car tires in their ear. So, iow, they think your music stinks.
