Being a Christian, I can tell you that you would probably learn about as much doing that as you would sitting in a church pew, so have at it.

I'll pass on the coffee or the beer, but yes, going out and spending time under the trees and listening is, to me, a wonderful way to commune with the Divine.

This is a perfect way to worship God, who has given you the back yard and shade tree. It is good to spend the Lords Holy Day with like minded believers when that is possible. In worship, prayer and repentance we live our days, 6 days we work and the 7th is set aside. No work, the 7th is a day to enjoy and praise what God has made for us.

I thinks that is great. I live in the Pine Barrens in south Jersey and do it all the time. I have a small pond in the woods behind my house and in spring to fall always read the sunday paper out there. Keep it up.

Almost. I do attend actual Church as most folks see it, but I definitely feel like I am in a spiritual place doing things like that and God is everywhere anyway.

Well. That's a good way to worship, but it doesn't include other believers. Perhaps you could make it a party?
