I like to play live as much as i can because players on-line are very loose and make crazy calls. Now that's not saying that people who play live are not going to make a crazy call, because they do, but i feel when you see the chips in front of you and you are in front of other people then you play more correctly because you don't want to called a donkey in front of so many other people. On-line the money doesn't seem as real and who cares if someone calls you a donkey on-line because they are not face to face with you. On-line i play a lot tighter then i do in a real casino.

I enjoy doing both, but with live there is so much more to pick up on when someone is bluffing than online poker. plus, in real life I know the cards aren't being stacked by a random sort matrix.

on-line is nice, i used to make tons of extra cash playing online when i played poker alot... but nothing compares to live in-person games. It's much more about playing the player not your cards. in-person hold'em is the only pure poker format. i love backroom or even guys night out games, although large tournaments have their appeal as well to me

That's a good question, but I have to say: both.
I love playing both, and I try to take advantage of the online and live poker world.
Live is good for the "poker ambiance", opponents, chips, casinos, big events.....etc.
Online is great too, you can see around 40 hands par hour (in one table). You can play multi-tables, don't have to drive to the casino....etc.
It's good for your poker game to mix it up.
Take care

I prefer online. I play better in person since there's more information to analyze and you can get a much better feel for the game. However, online's more profitable since you can play so many tables at once. Also, since you're playing more tables and you have to make more decisions, I can stay attentive longer when playing long sessions.

I like online because it's faster - but you can't beat the thrill of playing face to face!
