Iran does not manufacture 81mm mortar shells. According to a report offered by the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies at Tel Aviv University, connected to the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the neocon Brookings Institute, the smallest mortar produced by Iran is the 107mm M-30. the markings of dates are not from the Islamic calandar. do the american spin doctors really believe that people will believe their lies ??

Exactly. The Bush admin. has been accusing Iran of supporting the insurgency in Iraq for a long time now, mainly because the American people don't know anything about Iran. When I see insurgents using KH-2002 's and SPG-9 's I'll believe it.
Besides, if Iran was supporting the Iraqi fighters they would be supporting the Shia's in the south of Iraq fight the Brit.s. Why would the Shia Iranian leaders be arming Sunnis in the Iraq, not only are they different sects, but the two countries are sworn enemies.
I know wikipedia's not too reliable, but people should still check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equipment_of_the_Iranian_army#Small_arms
If they want to find out who's supporting the insurgency, maybe they should look at the only rich Sunni country in the region, which is Saudi Arabia.

Well, considering that Iran, like most of the Middle Eastern nations (except Israel) don't manufacture most of their own arms but buy them instead from countries around the world, I'd say that the chances of Iran supplying the insurgents in Iraq with 81mm rounds is pretty good. After all, they're still flying F-14 Tomcats that WE sold them 15 years ago, aren't they?
Kinda shoots your question right in the butt, huh?

You need to read your own source.
Your source stated that the smallest _mortar_ Iran produces is 107mm (IMO this is highly doubtful since it is easier to make smaller mortars than larger).
It says nothing about mortar ammunition.
And with the size of Iran's arms industry I would find it hard to believe that they do not manufacture 81mm mortar ammunition.
And FYI - Iran makes everything from rifle ammunition to 122mm rockets and 155mm artillery shells.
Unless your question is itself - propaganda?

They don't have to manufacture them, they can purchase them.
Iran is a terrorist state plain and simple.
No I don't believe all Iranians are terrorists. But their Government supports, and harbor terrorists
Why did Al-Sadr run to Iran then is Iran is not invloved?

Iran has no heavy industry that would permit them to produce large aircraft and weaponry. There are plenty of arms dealers in the world that will be more than happy to sell them what they need. That is why you see Russian made weapons on the battlefield.....As for the F14's - guess who made those and sold them to Iran?
Every industrialized country sells weapons - including the U.S, Germany, France, Russia and others.
It is interesting to me that our "leader" seems to make such a big deal about "Russian weapons" being used by Iranians but can't make the leap to "U.S. weapons and aircraft" also being used.
That madman in the White House and his cronies are trying to find way to feed "we, the people" some crapola we will believe so he will have an excuse to invade Iran - that is just what they did when they invaded Iraq.
I think we are a lot smarter now that we know what a dirty dealer he is.

They spin doctors don't care...same for Bush...because they are going to do whatever it takes to justify bombing/invading/destabilizing Iran. They pulled the wool over our eyes at least once (twice if you count 9/11) since Bush took over and have shown every intention of executing the "Wolfowitz Doctrine" to the letter.
Be prepared for plenty of more fake intelligence reports over the next few weeks indicating Iran is acting in a hostile way. If I had to bet I would say "the Iranians" will sink one of the US ships/boats flooding the Persian gulf right now...and it will be "game on" for invading/bombing Iran...and the American public and our Congress will all salute the great George Bush.

What makes your source more reliable? Either way, Iran is a problem and is fighting the US, spin it anyway you want. That's the way it is.
